Choornarajan is an ayurvedic powder preparation. It is considered as one of the best medicines equivalent to Ambrosia itself by the physicians. It is called as Choorna Raja.
Ingredients of Choornarajan
- Trikatu
1. Pippali (Piper longum)
2. Maricha (Piper nigrum)
3. Shunti (Zingiber officinale) - Ajamoda (Trachyspermum ammi)
- Chitraka (Plumbago zeylanica)
- Hingu (Ferula assa-foetida)
- Bharangi (Clerodendrum serratum)
- Bidam (Bida Lavana)
- Chavya (Piper retrofractum)
- Saindhava (Rock salt)
- Yava shooka /Yava Kshara (alkali prepared from Hordeum vulgare)
Preparation Method
Prepare choorna with the above drugs taken in the specified quantity.
Indications of Choornarajan
- Kapha Vata Nashaka – Good in Kapha and Vataja Diseases
- Shoola Nashaka – Subsides the Pain
- Agni Deepaka – Increases the appetite
Dose and Mode of administration:
Choornarajan is consumed internally with suitable adjuvents. The general dose is 3 to 12 gms per day or as directed by the physician.
