Ingredients of Kandasudhi Gulika

  1. Suvarna (purified gold) – 1 part
  2. Rajata (purified silver) – 1 part
  3. Muttu/Mukta (purified Pearl) – 1 part
  4. Rudraksha (Elaeocarpus ganitrus) – 1 part
  5. Vidrumam/Pravala (purified Coral) – 1 part
  6. Nirvisha dwaya (white and blue varieties of Delphinium denudatum) – 1 part
  7. Garuda dwya (Rauwolfia serpentina and ?Cocculus hirsutus) – 1 part
  8. Sahasravedhi/Hingu (Ferula narthex) – 1 part
  9. Jatiphala and Japatri (nut and mace of Myristica fragrans) – 1 part
  10. Vyosha/Trikatu
    1. Shunti (Zingiber offinalis) – 1 part
    2. Pippali (Piper longum) – 1 part
    3. Maricha (Piper nigrum) – 1 part
  11. Kirayatta/Kiratatikta (Swertia chiryata) – 1 part

Kandasudhi Gulika

Preperation of Kandasudhi Gulika

All the ingredients are powdered and taken in equal parts and mixed well. Then the mixture is triturated adding breast milk. When this attains homogeneous mixture pills are rolled out. The prepared pills are dried in shade and stored in an air-tight glass jar for use once they are dried well.

Indications of Kandasudhi Gulika

  1. Sarva Kantha Roga (all disorders of the throat)
  2. Ruja (pain)
  3. Ardita (paralysis of vical cord)
  4. Tonsilitis

Mode of use, Dosage, and Adjuvants

Kandasudhi Gulika should be mixed with honey and applied at the base of the tongue and gradually swallowed slowly. It is advised to take at every Yama (3hourly).

CAUTION: To be taken under Medical Supervision.
