Ingredients of Asalyadi Gulika
- Asali (Lepidium sativum) – 1 part
- Jiraka (Cuminum cyminum) – 1 part
- Anarya (Swertia chirata) – 1 part
- Brihati (Solanum anguivi) – 1 part
- Marjarimada (Civet) – 1 part
- Jiraka (Cuminum cyminum) – Q.S
Preparation of Asalyadi Gulika
All the ingredients are taken in equal quantity and made into powder. Then they are added with a decoction of jiraka and triturated. Once the mixture attains a semisolid state the pills are rolled out and dried in shade. Once they are completely dried then they are stored for use.
Indications of Asalyadi Gulika
- Shwasa (Breathing difficulty)
- Kasa (Cough)
- Hikka (Hiccup)
- Baala jwara (fever in children)
- Vata vaishamya (Vataja diseases)
Mode of use, Dosage, and Adjuvant
Asalyadi Gulika has advised 1-2 pills once or twice per day or as directed by the physician. As there is no specific adjuvant mentioned it can be taken along with warm water or as directed by the physician.
