Ayaskriti – Ingredients, Uses, and Dosage
Ayaskriti is an ayurvedic medicinal preparation in the form of liquid. Ayaskriti is used to treat diabetes, hemorrhoids/Pile, leucoderma, skin diseases, anorexia, worm infestation, anemia, IBS/Malabsorption syndrome, obesity, etc.
Ayaskriti is said to be more potent than lodhrasava having the properties to mitigate kapha and vata dosha.

Preparation of ayaskriti
All the ingredients mentioned in Asanadi Gana have to be taken 20 pala each along with 8 drona of water. Once the liquid reduced to one fourth it should be filtered. Then to the filtered decoction 2 tula of jaggery is added along with half adhaka of honey. To this mixture drugs of Vatsakadi gana has to be make a paste by taking one pala each to be added.
Now one has to take an earthen pot smeared with ghee, honey, and powder of pippali, and all the above mixture is transferred to this pot. The mouth of the vessel is sealed properly and kept in a heap of barley for two weeks.
Now the iron foils are to be heated using the fire made by khadira and dipped into the liquid repeatedly till the iron gets dissolved in the liquid. Then this liquid is ready for use.

Dosage and Adjuvant :
In general, it is advised to 15 – 30 ml once or twice daily or as directed by the physician.
