The Ingredients of Asana Vilwadi Keram

Kalka Dravya (materials for making paste)

  1. Madhuka/Yasthimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
  2. Nagara/Sunthi (Zingiber officinale)
  3. Triphala
    1. Hareetaki (Terminalia chebula)
    2. Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica)
    3. Amalaki (Emblica officinalis)

Sneha Dravya (Oil material)

  1. Kera Taila (Coconut Oil)

Drava Dravya (Liquid material)

Kashaya dravya (materials for preparing decoction)

  1. Asana (Pterocarpus marsupium)
  2. Bilwa (Aegle marmelos)
  3. Bala (Sida cordifolia)
  4. Amruta/Guduchi (Tinospora Cordifolia)

Prepare the decoction from the above drugs.

  1. Ksheera

Preparation of Asana Vilwadi Keram

One should prepare the oil by using thaila vidhi paka. The specific ingredients are taken in mentioned quantity and the oil is prepared.

Indications of Asana Vilwadi Keram

  1. Akshi Roga – Diseases of Eyes
  2. Karna Roga – Diseases of Ears
  3. Shiro Roga – Diseases of Head
