Ajaswagandhadi Leham or Ajaswagandhadi Lehyam is an Ayurvedic Medicine in the form of linctus. It is used in General and sexual debility, emaciation, deficient immune conditions, loss of libido, postnatal care etc…This preparation is Non-Vegetarian as it contains Aja Mamsa (Goats Meat) as one of the ingredients.

Ingredients of Ajaswagandhadi Leham

  1. Sita (Saccharum officinarum)  3.6gms
  2. Kshaudra (Honey) – 1.2 ml
  3. Ghrita (Cows Ghee) – 1.2ml
  4. Aja mamsa rasam (Goats meat soup) – 2.8 gms
  5. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) – 0.439 gms
  6. Kandukari/Kapikacchu (Mucuna pruriens) – 0.439 gms 
  7. Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – 0.222 gms 
  8. Tugaksheeri (Maranta arundinacea) – 0.110 gms
  9. Ela (Elettaria cardamomum) – 0.007 gms 
  10. Twak (Cinnamomum verum) – 0.007 gms
  11. Patra (Cinnamomum tamala) – 0.007 gms
  12. Jatipahala (Myristica fragrans – Nutmeg) – 0.007 gms
  13. Jatiphala (Myristica fragrans – Mace) – 0.007 gms
  14. Lavanga Kusuma (Syzygium aromaticum) – 0.007 gms

Preparation of Ajaswagandhadi Leham

All the ingredients are taken in the specified quantity and according to the leha vidhi, the lehya has to be prepared.

Indications of Ajaswagandhadi Leham

  1. Jara Vyadhi (Diseases of Old Age)
  2. Kshata (Injury)
  3. Kshaya (Depletive diseases)
  4. Krushata (Underweight)
  5. Balakshaya (Loss of strength)
  6. Shukla Kshaya (Decrease sperm count)
  7. Shukla dosha (Diseases of spermatozoa)
  8. Indriya Skalana (Nocturnal emission)
  9. Maithuna Ksheena (Loss of libido)
  10. Kasa (Cough)
  11. Shwasa (Breathing Difficulties)
  12. Asthi Kshaya (Diseases of the Bone)

Dosage of Ajaswagandhadi Leham :

The adult dose is 10 to 20 gms or as directed by the physician.
