Cheriya Chinchadi Thailam or Cheriya Chinchadi Thaila is an ayurvedic oil used as an external application. It is also called Small Chinchadi Thailam. This is used in treating all Vata predominant diseases.
Ingredients of Cheriya Chinchadi Thailam
Kalka Dravya (Materials for making the paste)
- Shigru (Moringa oleifera)
- Sarja Rasa (Vateria indica)
- Arjaka/Kunthrikam – (Boswellia serrata)
- Pancha Lavana
1. Saindhava (Chloride of Sodium)
2. Samudra Lavana (Sodi muris)
3. Sauvarcha lavana(Unaqua Sodium Chloride)
4. Romaka lavana (Sambhar Salt)
5. Bida Lavana (Ammonium Salt)
Sneha Dravya (Oil material)
- Tila Taila (Sesame Oil)
Drava Dravya (Liquid material)
- Chincha Patra Kwatha (decoction of Tamarindus indica leaves)
Preparation method of Cheriya Chinchadi Thailam:
First, the decoction has to be prepared using Tamarind leaves. To the decoction, the other specified ingredients with the mentioned quantity are added and oil is prepared.
Cheriya Chinchadi Thailam is used as an external application in Vata predominant disease
