Ingredients of Cheriya Chinchadi Leham

  1. Jeerana Chincha (Old tamarind) – 1 prakuncha (48 gms)
  2. Jeerana Guda (old jaggery) – 5 prakuncha (240 gms)
  3. Loha (Iron) – 10 prakuncha (480 gms)
  4. Kitta (Ferric oxide) – 10 prakuncha (480 gms)
  5. Bilva (Aegle marmelos) – 2 prakuncha (96 gms)
  6. Vidanga (Embelia ribes) – 2 prakuncha (96 gms)
  7. Jinoshana (Piper cubeba)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
  8.  Tyayushana

    1. Pippali (Piper longum)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
    2. Maricha (Piper nigrum)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
    3. Shunti (Zingiber officinale)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)

  9. Shreshta/Triphala
    1. Hareetaki (Terminalia chebula)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
    2. Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
    3. Amalaki (Emblica officinalis)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
  10. Jeeraka Yugma
    1. Shweta Jeeraka (Cuminum cyminum)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
    2. Krishna Jeeraka (Carum carvi)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
  11. Trijataka
    1. Twak (Cinnamum zeylanicum)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
    2. Ela (Elettaria cardamomum)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
    3. Patra (Cinnamomum tamala)  – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
  12. Yasthi (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
  13. Rasna (Pluchea lanceolata) – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)
  14. Jatipala dala (Myristica fragrans) – 1/2 prakuncha (24 gms)

Preparation of Cheriya Chinchadi Leham

All the above ingredients are taken in specified quantity. Then they are added together and mixed well. Once they are mixed thoroughly it can be stored in a clean vessel for use.

Anupaana (Adjuvants)

Cheriya Chinchadi Leham is taken internally along with Makshika (Honey) or with Takra (Buttermilk)

  1. Deepana (increases appetite)
  2. Pandu nashana (Anemia)
  3. Twak peetatwa/Kamala (yellowish skin)
  4. Daha (Burning)
  5. Trishna (Thirst)
  6. Ushna (feeling hotness)
  7. Kamala (Jaundice)
  8. Amlaka/Amlapitta (Acidity) (Breathing difficulty)
  9. Shwasa  (Breathing difficulty)
  10. Vaigandhya (Bad odor)
  11. Vayu roga (Vata diseases)
  12. Purana Jwara (Old fever)

Dosage of Cheriya Chinchadi Leham

In general 10 to 20 gms once or twice daily or as directed by the physician.
