Neelibhringadi Thaila is one of the commonly use hair oil to prevent hair fall, premature graying of hairs, dandruff etc… It is also known as Neelibhringadi keram or Neelibhringadi kerathailam. The difference in is the oil which is used for preparation. Neelibhringadi Thaila is used prepared using the sesame oil as the base and Neelibhringadi keram or kerathailam is prepared using the coconut oil as the base.
Ingredients of Neelibhringadi Thaila:
Ingredients of the paste (Kalka)
- Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – 0.208gms
- Gunja(Abrus precatorius) – 0.208gms
- Anjana (natural lead sulphide) – 0.208gms
Oil – Sesame Oil – 10ml
Liquid ingredients
- Nili swarasa (juice of Indigofera tinctoria) – 10ml
- Bringaraja swarasa (juice of Eclipta prostrata) -10ml
- Indravaruni swarasa (juice of Cardiospermum halicacabum) -10ml
- Amalaki swarasa (Phyllanthus emblica) -10ml
- Aja ksheera (goats milk) -10ml
- Nalikera Ksheera (coconut milk) -10ml
- Mahisha Ksheera (Buffalos milk) -10ml
- Go ksheera (cows milk) -10ml
Indication of Neelibhringadi Thaila:
- Kesha samjanana
Mode of use:
Neelibhringadi Thaila is warmed indirectly and then applied to the scalp. A gentle massage with fingertips is beneficial. It has to be kept for 15 – 20 minutes before washing hair.
