Dashamoola Rasnadi Kashaya or Dashamoola Rasnadi Kashayam is an Ayurvedic decoction preparation. It is used to treat Amavata (variety of joint disorder), Rheumatoid Arthritis, Joint pain, Swelling in joints, stiffness in joints etc….

Ingredients of Dashamoola Rasnadi Kashaya

  1. Dashamoola
    1. Bilwa (Aegle marmelos)
    2. Agnimantha (Premna obtusifolia)
    3. Gambhari (Gmelina arborea)
    4. Shyonaka (Oroxylum Indicum)
    5. Pathala (Stereospermum suaveolens)
    6. Shalaparni (Desmodium gangeticum)
    7. Prushnaparni (Uraria picta)
    8. Bruhati (Solanum Indicum)
    9. Kantakari (Solanum xanthocarpous)
    10. Gokshura (Tribulus Terrestris)
  2. Amruta (Tinospora cordifolia)
  3. Eranda (Ricinus communis)
  4. Rasna (Pluchea lanceolata)
  5. Nagara (Zingiber officinalis
  6. Daru/Devadaru (Cedrus deodara)

Preparation of Dashamoola Rasnadi Kashaya

All the above-said ingredients are taken in equal parts and made into coarse powder. The powders are mixed together and added 16 times of water to it. This mixture is heated in a mild flame till it reduces 1/4 of the quantity. Once the decoction is prepared it has to be filtered and used.

Mode of use :

Dashamoola Rasnadi Kashaya is administered internally 15 to 30 ml along with 3 times of water twice daily or as directed by the physician.
